Base Pricing

This the base price that I will charge for the character illustrations.

Illustrations will be divided into 3 price brackets.

Bust (Upper Chest & above)

This is base pricing, but due to each illustration being a unique case, there will be additional cost due to any complexity such as complex clothes, intricate poses, detailed accessories.

All final prices will be clearly defined by me during individual consultation.

Background Cost

Depending on your background, this will add onto the Base Price.

Simple Graphic Design/No Background

Examples: Flat Graphics, Iconography, Text, One Color, etc.

No Extra Fee

Basic Background

Examples: Sky, Water/Pool, Beach, Sunset, etc.

These costs are add on top of the Base price.

This provides you the intellectual rights for sale and monetization of the commission, such as selling it on prints or any other monetizing venture. With this addition I consent and acknowledge that the client will be utilizing the commission for sale and distribution. Credit must be given regardless of this addition.

Late Revisions Fee

$70

Revisions are a natural part of the commission cycle, but please keep any revisions/major changes in the sketch to lineart phase of the commission.

If revisions are placed at a later time, it will cause a lot of problems to go back and change them, therefore leading to a fee for time spent to fix and alter the illustrations.

Examples: addition or removal of clothes, changing poses, altered lighting, etc.

You can always request changes, but if it is too late for revisions I will refer to this fee.

Standalone Background Commissions

Backgrounds are explicitly only scenery. Characters can be added but in a very basic sense to create scale. Regardless I largely have no restriction with creating backgrounds, but with that openness comes a difficulty to gauge a certain price.

Preparations

In order to make the consultation and the overall process of doing the commission smoother I heavily request that the client come prepared with a solid idea in mind so that I can help you make that idea a reality. So if you plan to work with me come with these assets.

If it is a Fanart commission:

A character reference sheet or images
The full name of a character
The name of the series/medium they come from
- (i.e name of Anime, Game, or TV series)
A pose that you'd like
A brief description of what you'd like your illustration to be

If it's an Original character:

A character description or visual
a one sentence description of their personality
A pose that you'd like or prefer
A brief description of what you'd like your illustration to be

What is the Process of the Commission?

This is how the commission will go once we have finished the consultation.

Sketch Phase. We iron out details and how it will look, I will send repeated rough sketches for your confirmation. Once the rough idea has fully come out, we finish the sketch phase.
At this point I request 50% of the commission cost, once I receive the payment. I will proceed to the Lineart Phase.
Lineart. I start creating the lineart for the illustration, I will periodically send progress pictures to you so your in the loop.
Color Blocking. I put in the flat colors of what the colors would be on the illustration. Once confirmed with you, we move forward.
Render. I render the illustration bit by bit while also giving you occasional progress pictures.
Finish. I send you the finalized copy of the illustration for review. Once that's done I take off any large work in progress watermarks, and implement my small signature and we're done! congrats you got your one and only illustration!

What Will You Receive?

A .clip and/or .psd file of the commission.
The Illustration in either .jpg or .png
